The Association of the United States Army - AUSA Center for Leadership hosted an inaugural staff ride that honored the selfless service and significant contributions of African American Soldiers from 1775 to present.

 

Participants experienced both the National Museum of the United States Army and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture while listening to inspiring remarks by African American Army leaders.

 

The staff ride participants included Cadets from seven major programs:

1. Howard University
2. Hampton University
3. Morgan State University
4. George Mason University
5. Georgetown University (with Cadets from The George Washington University University and American University)
6. Virginia Military Institute
7. United States Military Academy at West Point
