Since April 22, 1959, the Connecticut Chapter has been working in the interests of the Association of the United States Army's mission to support the total Army: Active, National Guard, Army Reserve, Retirees, Veterans, Department of the Army Civilian Employees and soldiers families.

The Chapter has supported National Guard and Army Reserve soldiers through its Soldier Support Programs and their families through the Guard and Reserve Family Support Programs. It also recognizes the National Guard Soldier and NCO of the Year recipients and Honor Graduates of the NCO School's BNCO and ANCO Programs and OCS Honor Graduates.
