Peraton
Peraton
Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. As a mission-capability integrator and enterprise IT provider, the company delivers trusted and highly differentiated national security solutions and technologies that keep people safe and secure.
Peraton has more than five decades as a valued partner to essential government agencies. For the U.S. Army, that tenure has included programs that solve their most daunting challenges. Peraton provides expertise that keeps Army soldiers, civilians and contractors able to perform their day-to-day functions.
To continue fulfilling its mission of being prepared to dominate adversaries, the Army has evolved to include execution of operations across multiple domains, and it has increased its collaboration with joint force operations. Peraton supports the service as it optimizes its force to face current threats and meet the challenges of tomorrow. Below are a few examples of how Peraton meets those Army challenges.
Cyber
As the prime contractor for the Army’s cyber program, Peraton supports the mission to ensure freedom of action in and through cyberspace and the information environment, and to deny the same to adversaries. The Army gains the advantage of Peraton’s experience in delivering full-spectrum cyber operations that include program management, endpoint security, information assurance, training and policy support.
Peraton’s cutting-edge cyber tools – combined with advanced research and development – deliver improved system resiliency, cloud capability and security, and full spectrum cyberwarfare. The company’s trusted, end-to-end cyber platforms help defend U.S. networks against adversaries in any contested environment.
To identify cyber exploitations, Peraton employees put themselves in the mindset of the enemy. This means they must have the creativity to design and plan for attacks that have not yet been attempted. Understanding those worst-case scenarios is just as valuable as patching a zero-day vulnerability.
Operations
Whether it’s for an individual firearm or a platform with multiple weapons, the Army has comprehensive ammunition needs. It depends on Peraton to provide the system for managing ammunition requirements for training, combat and sustainment. The company’s support for the web-based enterprise system enables operators to forecast usage needs, to validate and route requests for ammunition, and to prepare reports.
Mission-critical software like the ammunition management system leverages advanced computing environments, both tactical and cloud-based, to accomplish complex mission outcomes. Peraton remains at the forefront of developing and delivering these systems, as well as maintaining related communications, decision support, mission planning, and command and control systems.
The company’s expertise in highly complex data integration and management, both at speed and at scale, ensures a clear path to operational insight. With machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things technology, Peraton provides real-time situational intelligence and improved business outcomes.
Training
Training is essential for readiness, and the Army relies on Peraton to deliver an enterprise training and education capability. The development, integration, operation, and maintenance of the cloud-based system for training provides the Army with real-time understanding of combat readiness with reduced cost and complexity.
Peraton specializes in providing cloud systems and services that deliver value to customers. From secure enterprise IT to application integration, to hybrid and multi-cloud and edge computing, Peraton’s cloud solutions and services ensure that technology works for the customer, not the other way around.
Mobile
When it’s called upon to perform at the tactical edge, the Army needs the planning tools that support it as an integrated fighting force. Peraton’s experience with mobile warfighter communications gives the Army the integrated planning capability necessary for setting up network elements and signal systems.
For unique deployments such as remote systems, Peraton uses mission engineering and operations expertise to tailor approaches that achieve the right balance between rigor and speed, creating actionable plans, capabilities, and intelligence for users and decision-makers.
Innovation
Peraton increases the Army’s electronic warfare and ISR capabilities with programs for systems engineering, modeling and simulation, prototyping, and testing and evaluation. This enables system survivability in the modern, multi-domain battlefield.
The nature of conflict today demands that the Army understand, solve, and execute unique national security problems. With Peraton the Army has the expertise and technology to create innovative solutions to meet its challenges.
Leadership
Peraton’s Army business unit is led by Maj. Gen. Jennifer Napper (USA, Ret.). Her military career includes serving as director of policy, plans, and partnerships for the U.S. Department of Defense Cyber Command, and she commanded the Army’s Global Network Enterprise Technology Command and the Army’s 7th Signal Command.
Having company leaders with technical, operational, and military credentials will benefit the Army as it encounters new challenges and missions that support national security.
